NOW HIRING: Childbirth educators, doulas and lactation consultants
Momease, a full-service childbirth education, doula and lactation-consultant company in the Washington DC metropolitan area, is expanding and needs educators and support professionals. We are eager to hire new instructors by May 19, 2008.
We offer classes in childbirth education, infant care and breastfeeding at various hospitals in the Washington DC area. Our classes are held on weekends and week nights and include:
- Childbirth Preparation for medicated and non-medicated births. Class length varies with curriculum.

Comfort Measures and Relaxation Techniques. One-night, 3-hour classes. Accompanied by the new Momease Comfort Measures CD.

Breastfeeding Basics is 2 hours long and focuses on latching on and positions. It is designed for mom and her partner.

Baby Care Basics is 3 hours in length and covers newborn appearance, hospital procedures and infant care.
Our curricula are based on specific hospital protocols, Momease educational materials and/or personal instructor expertise.
We are also seeking labor and postpartum doulas and lactation consultants. The lactation consultants not only teach our breastfeeding classes, but also provide home visits to new moms.
Our pay rates are highly competitive and based on experience. Instructors are evaluated annually for raises.

Childbirth Educator
In this role, you will teach childbirth classes following established protocols and curriculum. Qualified candidates must have applied to or been accepted into either ICEA or Lamaze International certification programs; certification must be achieved within six months of hire. Requirements include:
- One year of classroom/small group process teaching, facilitation, and presentation experience, and the ability to operate A-V equipment.
- A bachelor's degree, two years' childbirth teaching experience, and one year working in a health care setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of behavior change educational interventions with individuals or small groups and a working knowledge of behavior principles and adult learning theory are preferred.

CERTIFIED CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR
Nor'ice Healthcare is a new healthcare center specialized in exclusive, comprehensive healthcare services for the entire family. Nor'ice is focused on "Nursing the body and mind of your entire family through quality and holistic care." In our initial start-up of services, we would like to introduce our families to our educational course in childbirth, breastfeeding, and sibling preparation for a new baby. Our courses will be offered bi-weekly on Saturdays and anticipated opening in Fall 2008. We are located in Spring, Texas (Northwest area of Houston, Texas).

CERTIFIED PRE AND PERINATAL INSTRUCTORS
A new birthing/parenting enrichment center (The Loft) will be opening in Morgan Hill California in Spring '08. We are looking for instructors who want to bring evidence-based prenatal, perinatal and parenting classes to our community.
Applicants must hold nationally recognized certification and have some previous experience in teaching adults and/or children. Being bilingual in English and Spanish would be a plus!
We are looking for instructors for Childbirth Preparation, Infant Care, Yoga and/or Prenatal Fitness as well as Prenatal Massage Therapists, and other pregnancy, postpartum and family specialists.
