EDUCATING THE EDUCATOR

Educating the Educator Training Course Enrollment Form

The goal of the Educating the Educator program is to provide qualified ICEA educators to teach and sponsor ICEA approved Basic Childbirth Educator Training Workshops and ICEA approved Doula and Labor Support Training Workshops.

To achieve this goal ICEA is offering an Educating the Educator Training Course. The course will train qualified ICEA certified members as ICEA approved trainers (IATs). ICEA approved trainers can then provide ICEA approved Basic Childbirth Educator and Doula and Labor Support Training Workshops throughout the United States, Canada, and to the international community.

To qualify to attend this training course and become an ICEA approved trainer the applicant must be a member of ICEA and be ICEA certified in the field of her choice (either childbirth educator or doula), and have attended an ICEA Professional Training Workshop in the field of her choice or an appropriate training track at an ICEA convention.

Qualified applicants must preregister to attend the Educating the Educator Training Course. The fee to enroll in the Educating the Educator Course is $475 (US).

Upon completion of the course the applicant will be required to complete an evaluation and sign a commitment form. They will then be sent a Certificate of Completion, assigned an ICEA ID number, and become an IAT (ICEA approved trainer) for three years.
