EXPERIENCED CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR CERTIFICATION

The experienced educator program is designed for childbirth educators with more than two years experience. Candidates enroll in the program and receive the program study guides. Prior to applying to take the ICEA childbirth educator certification examination, the educator must:

Verify a minimum of 25 months and 150 hours of teaching childbirth education classes, using forms provided by ICEA
Complete five ICEA alternate contact hours as included in the study guides
Take the certification examination within one year of enrolling in the program.
