The International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) is a professional organization that supports educators and health care professionals who believe in freedom to make decisions based on knowledge of alternatives in family-centered maternity and newborn care.
Approved Contact Hours
Contact Hours
All listings can be used towards and applied to the requirements for the ICEA Recertification process.
ICEA accepts and automatically honors contact hours obtained by attending DONA and Lamaze approved workshops for recertification. Below is an up-to-date listing of ICEA approved contact hours offered by other organizations. If your ICEA approved contact hour offering is not listed here, contact the main office info@icea.org and request it to be posted. Apply today for your program to receive ICEA approved contact hours.
Alternate Contact Hours
ICEA alternate contact hours are self paced. Professionals will read articles or position papers and comprehension will be tested with a quiz. No more than twelve (12) of these can be used towards an individual's recertification contact hour requirement. Each position paper is worth one (1) ICEA contact hour.
